About Me
I was born and raised in Hobart and relocated to Western Australia as a young adult. After moving back to Hobart from living in Perth for several years, I resettled in Tasmania and began painting local landscapes. I completed a Batchelor or Fine Art with First Class Honours in 2022 and won the Bett Gallery Award for my Honours Submission. I held my first Solo Show with Bett Gallery in 2023. I currently paint from my studio at Salamanca Arts Centre.
Coming from a working background in health and wellbeing, I am inspired by the natural world and I have a passion for painting nature, and a love of photography. I am captivated and inspired by the beauty of Tasmania, and interested in the connection between the natural world and the human psyche.
My work aims to explore the relationship between the physical and emotional body and the effects upon it by our surroundings. Exploring the transitions that evolve between the internal and external environments.
